From El Campello to San Juan

It is the area of the Mediterranean Sea that belongs to the Alicante region (south of the Valencian Community). With more than 3,000 hours of sunshine per year and an average annual temperature of 18°C, it is an ideal destination to disconnect from routine. The Costa Blanca has 170 fine sandy beaches and rocky coves over 200 kilometers. If you are looking to be in contact with nature and relax, the Costa Blanca North is your place. Small maritime towns with white houses and pure Mediterranean essence with beautiful landscapes and pleasant beaches, the possibility of practicing activities such as sailing or diving and a gastronomy closely linked to the sea.

The development of tourism in this area of the coast dates back to the early 1960s, which is why it has a well-established service infrastructure and an optimal communications network. Alicante International Airport is one of the busiest airfields in Spain and is perfectly connected by road to the main tourist areas of the Costa Blanca North.

You can take the CV-736 road and stop at places like Dénia, Jávea, Calpe or Altea: perfect destinations to relax and enjoy the slow and relaxed pace of the Mediterranean lifestyle. Further south is Benidorm, one of the region's most international tourist destinations; Villajoyosa, where you will love its historic center and its brightly painted houses; and Alicante, where you can combine cultural visits to the Santa Bárbara Castle or the Archaeological Museum with walks in its historic center or its large San Juan beach.

El Campello is a town located 10 kilometers from Alicante and 30 kilometers from Benidorm. It is a city with a great maritime tradition which has been able to adapt in recent years and become a first-class tourist destination.
Throughout its 23 km. of coastline, the longest on the entire Costa Blanca, El Campello has several residential areas with a large supply of housing. In its city center and very close to the beach, we find developments with excellent value for money. ALICANTE
Located in the wide bay formed between Cabo de las Huertas and Cabo de Santa Pola, Alicante is one of the most important tourist destinations in the Spanish Levant. Its abundant supply of golf courses and the calm waters of the Mediterranean are some of the attractions offered by this beautiful port city located at the foot of the Santa Bárbara Castle.
Alicante is also a land of deep popular traditions, such as the Moors and Christians Festival and the Night of San Juan. For its part, rice, cooked in multiple ways, is the protagonist of tasty gastronomy.
The coastline is, without a doubt, the place preferred by the inhabitants of Alicante for leisure. The Explanada de España promenade, located in front of the port, is a lively boulevard dotted with terraces. A more modern leisure area stretches along the harbor pier, where there are also many restaurants and bars. Next to both spaces is the urban beach of El Postiguet, a privileged enclave to enjoy the sea and the sun.

The liveliness of Alicante continues throughout the year thanks to its status as a tourist center, just a few kilometers from the beaches of San Juan and towns like Santa Pola, Torrevieja, Altea, Denia, etc.

Alicante is a modern city that concentrates the services and commerce of the entire province of Alicante, of which it is the capital.
Alicante's metropolitan tram system makes it easy to get around the capital and surrounding areas, and there are excellent transport links via the nearby Alicante-Elche International Airport, as well as by road and rail .

SAN JUAN
Part of the Alicante metropolitan area, San Juan has largely grown to encompass the Alicante university campus, hospitals and many shopping centers.

Playa de San Juan is one of the most impressive beaches on the Costa Blanca, located approximately 10 km north of the city of Alicante. Seven kilometers of fabulous golden sands stretch along the Mediterranean coast, from Cabo de la Huerta to El Campello, a wide, spacious, gently sloping beach with the "Blue Flag" banner. Facilities include several parking areas and, parallel to the road, a cycle path and a state-of-the-art tram line, which runs south to the center of Alicante and north to the coast to Denia.
San Juan has a good selection of hotels, from modest family-run hostels to luxurious 5-star hotels and holiday apartments. Proximity to golf courses is another attraction or the stunning trails are just a short drive away if you want to hike in the Alicante mountains.

The elegant promenade is lined with a variety of restaurants: street cafes, fast food franchises, ice cream parlors, tapas bars, pizzerias and elegant restaurants serving international and Spanish cuisine. On the seafront, typical restaurants with terraces overlooking the sea specializing in Mediterranean dishes of seafood and paella.
